Homemade Dog Biscuits

Sep 1st

There is nothing better than the unconditional love of animals, especially dogs. I have four dogs and two cats. Louie Bernard the basset hound. Womack the mama shih tzu. Her babies Evy and Sparky. Louie is almost 6 years old, Womack 12, and her babies, 10. The cats are Mister and Nietzsche. This day is all about my dogs. I have made these delicious treats for them many times and they honestly know when I start mixing the peanut butter that this is going to be a fabulous day. They wait patiently by the oven till they are finished baking and then its like all hell breaks loose. They go crazy for these treats. They are so simple to make and use only a few ingredients. This recipe makes 200 dog biscuits. I use a little dog biscuit cookie cutter but you can use any cookie cutter. As I was saying there is nothing better than to come home from the end of a day or a vacation and have them sitting by the back door awaiting your return. I love when they jump up to greet me and its kisses all over. Sometimes they cry they are so happy to see me. I have been through many dogs in my life, some have passed on and hopefully someday I will reunite with them again. They have been there for me through joy, pain, sorrow, and heartbreak. Never ever judging just letting me be me. They let me cry into their fur and rejoice with happiness. There is nothing better than to see Louie Bernard our basset come bounding across the yard to play, or to swim or to get a treat. Pure joy! I wish everyone in their life could experience the love of an animal, there is nothing in the world quite like it, and I have been very fortunate and honored to be part of their lives. Thanks for always be there for me and I know I can always count on you to love me unconditionally and really isn’t that what everyone needs in their lives. This one is for you Louie, Womack, Sparky and Evy!
