I have been making these onions for so long, I got the recipe from my Mother years ago. They are always such a big hit with everyone I have ever served them to. A very simple recipe, with a nice outcome. You can make these with sweet onions, or Maui onions. I made them with sweet onions from Visser Farms, that I bought from the Holland Farmer’s Market in Holland Michigan. The flavors mix together for a sweet and savory side dish. You can tent them in tin foil and throw on the grill if you don’t want to heat up your oven this time of year. We had them with BBQ ribs the other night and everyone always goes back for seconds. We have been having a wonderful time with P.J. and Ashlee, they are here for another week from Thursday and then they head on to Ashlee’s home town of Murphy Texas. They have been helping me with the food blog and I am so thankful for all they have done to help me understand what the heck I am doing. I am so enjoying this new passion of mine and hope all that are reading this do too! Please feel free to comment right after the recipe and let me know what you think. Happy Grilling!
