Ham and Cheese

These little Ham and Cheese Sandwiches are perfect for a crowd, dinner party or buffet. You can make them the night before and just bake before company arrives. They are so sweet and savory. The perfect party food. Every time I have made these, they are a huge hit! Honestly, they are so simple to make. I had leftover Honeybaked Ham so I used that, otherwise you can use 1 lb of deli ham. The sweet flavor comes from little Hawaiian rolls, usually found by the deli of your grocery store. I also use Swiss cheese. The savory part comes from butter, Poppy seeds, Worcestershire, and garlic powder. That’s it. Ham and Cheese Sandwiches: Makes 24

2 pkg Hawaiian Rolls

1lb ham sliced thin or Honeybaked Ham

12 slices of Swiss cheese cut in half

2 sticks of salted butter

2 Tbs Poppy seeds

3 Tbs Worcestershire Sauce

1 Tbs Garlic Powder

Place 1 or 2 slices of ham and a half of a slice of Swiss cheese in each bun. Place in buttered 11 x 14 inch pan side by side. In a sauce pan, melt butter, add Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder and Poppy seeds. Pour over rolls and refrigerate overnight. Bake covered with tin foil for 12 minutes, remove foil and cook another 10 minutes or just until heated through and cheese is melted. Serve warm.
