Lance’s Salsa
I live in Arizona, and you would think I have more Southwest recipes then anything else, but that is not the case. I will be posting more soon. The first time I had this Salsa, Morgan’s friend Lance made it for us. It is the best Salsa I’ve ever had! I have eaten in a lot of Mexican restaurants here, and had it numerous times at parties. It is by far the freshest, tasting, Salsa, full of flavor’s, that blend together so perfectly. Lance adds avocado for a unique twist on this classic! He usually brings us some at Christmas time, but where the heck was our Salsa Lance? Anyway, I ended up making it for us instead, using Lance’s recipe. Thanks for sharing such a great Salsa. You have to make this for your Superbowl party this year, let me know how it turns out.
Lance’s Salsa:
2 32 oz cans diced tomatoes, I use the petite diced with juice
3 Jalapenos seeded and diced. If you like a little more heat, leave the seeds for the peppers in. They are what gives the jalapenos spice.
1 purple onion chopped
2 green onions chopped
3 garlic cloves chopped
2 Tbs Chili powder
2 Tbs garlic powder
5 Tbs fresh cilantro chopped
2 avocados chopped
2 tsp sea salt more or less to taste
1/2 tsp pepper
In a large bowl add one can of the tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients ending with the Chili powder and Garlic powder on the top. Next add the other can of tomatoes. Mix all together and seal with saran wrap, make sure the wrap is touching flat against the Salsa, so the avocados don’t brown. This recipe really makes a lot. Serve with tortilla chips. Or use as a condiment for eggs, taco’s etc. Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think. Thanks, Stacey

You made this wonderful salsa at your last dinner party and I loved it! It also has a beautiful presentation because of the avocados. Thanks for sharing this tasty recipe!
